PMC Science Fair Fun Run This Sunday in SE False Creek #inthevillage
The 15th Annual PMC Science Fair Fun Run
The PMC Science Fair Fun Run 2014 5K fun run takes place this Sunday May 25th in the Olympic Village and along the False Creek seawall. The race will begin and end on Athletes Way in the Olympic Village. This is the largest timed 5km run in the city and according to the Science Fair Foundation BC website:
“Your participation in the 15th annual PMC Science Fair Fun Run ensures the success of future Science Fairs in BC and allows our youth to gain the skills they need to succeed in a fast-paced, knowledge-based world.”
Some features of the run include:
- Strollers are welcome – race staff will help you find the best place to get started
- Mini Fun Run – 1K Mini Fun Run. The $15 registration fee includes a T-shirt plus entry to TELUS World of Science on race day. All Mini Fun Run participants must have a registered adult run with them.

- ChampionChipTM Timing – digital timing chip
- Awards Ceremony
- Post-race entertainments
- Post-race Refreshments
- Free entry to TELUS World of Science with your bib or race t-shirt
7:30-8:30am – Race package and timing chip pickup; On-site registration; Check your gear/bags
8:30-9:00am – Welcome and race warm-up.
9:00am – Start of PMC 5K Science Fair Fun Run.
9:05am – Start of Mini Fun Run.
10:00am-noon – Awards Ceremony; Entertainment; and Post-Race Refreshments
11:00am-6:00pm Free entrance to TELUS World of Science with your bib and/or t-shirt.
